Highlights of the Experience

The tour showcases several standout features, including:

  • Behind-the-scenes access to Rebel Spirit’s award-winning pre-roll production process.

  • Interactive interviews with the farm’s founders and head growers, offering personal insights into their sustainability practices.

  • Stunning drone panoramas that highlight the beauty of the property and its surroundings.

This project stands out for its dynamic mix of media, including drone panoramas, 360° videos, VR180 videos, traditional photography, and interactive text and audio. At Hungry Mantis, we pride ourselves on being a versatile storytelling partner. By combining multiple media types, we craft immersive experiences tailored to each client’s unique story.

Accessibility and Distribution

To ensure accessibility, we created two versions of the tour:

  1. A high-resolution, stereoscopic 8K VR experience, designed for virtual reality headsets. **Message us to download the .apk!

  2. A web-based tour, accessible via desktop and mobile, for quick and easy exploration.

Offering multiple distribution options is a key part of our approach to immersive storytelling. While the headset-based experience provides a truly magical level of immersion, the web-based version delivers unparalleled convenience and reach.

Tools and Techniques

We developed the interactive app using Unity and hosted the web-based tour through 3D Vista. To bring the experience to life, we also designed custom graphics and integrated Rebel Spirit’s extensive library of traditional photos.

One exciting aspect of this project was showcasing how immersive tours can remix and repurpose existing media assets. Features like picture-in-picture image inserts demonstrate how traditional media can seamlessly enhance virtual environments, creating new opportunities for engagement.

Making an Impact

The Rebel Spirit virtual tour made its debut at MJ Biz Con in Las Vegas, one of the cannabis industry’s premier events. By combining cutting-edge technology with compelling storytelling, we helped Rebel Spirit stand out and connect with their audience in an entirely new way.
